Stuck in-between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, we have Small Business Saturday! Today I wanted to highlight some sustainability store all across the state of Iowa. Its one thing to order products online, but the impact is even greater when you buy them locally. On to the list!
THE COLLECTIVE DSM- Des Moines, Iowa

THE COLLECTIVE DSM is a shop that I have highlighted on this page before. They offer pretty much any product you could want, but in a vegan, zero-waste option. You can find everything from bath products to pet toys. Shop in person or online:

2. Z.W. Mercantile- Ames, Iowa

The ZW Mercantile is described as an "eco-friendly general store". It is locally owned. They offer a large range of products, all of which are eco-friendly and zero-waste. They offer products in person and online via their website.

3. New Pioneer Food Co-op- Cedar Rapids, Coralville, and Iowa City

New Pioneer Food Co-op is a community owned eco-friendly grocery store. They offer similar products to what you would buy at a normal grocery store, but all their products are better for the environment. They also currently offer high risk shopping times

4. Horizon Line Coffee- Des Moines

Horizon Line Coffee is a coffee shop located in Des Moines. What sets them apart from other coffee shops is their glass bottles that they serve all their coffee in. They helped phase out single use plastic with these glasses. They offer many different coffee types.
