Good News, There is Change Happening!

These days all the negative things happening with the climate can seem overwhelmingly sad, but don't worry, there is good things happening too! I have compiled this short list of good news for you to read whenever you start getting upset about the current state of our planet:

-Local Coffee shops are switching over to plastic free options

-More awareness is being spread

-The hole in the ozone layer has been fixed (old news, I know)

-230 million people participated in Plastic Free July

-The Canadian Government created a new marine protected area

-Congress is working on a permanent ban to off-shore drilling

-There are loads of DIY alternatives to things such as deodorant on the internet that people are trying

-Some Grocery Stores are testing out plastic free alternatives to fruits, cereal, and more

-Some companies, such as Final Straw, are finding ways to reduce their carbon footprint in production

-Some Breweries are turning the plastic rings around their cans to rings that feed the turtles
